This project envisages the organization of four paintings exhibition in the Slovenian partners’ galleries of Nova Gorica and in the Kulturni dom gallery in Gorizia. They are personal exhibitions that may take place in several places at the same time. The Kulturni dom gallery in Gorizia, the Mestna Galerija and the Galleria Artes in Nova Gorica boast a lively and regulary activity. So far two exhibitions have been held, first in Slovenia and then in Italy or vice versa, in order to involve several places and reach as many people as possible. The project aims at inducing the residents of Gorizia and Nova Gorica to visit art galleries irrespective of their location, and to think of the two cities as a single entity. The reference target consists of the regular and irregular exhibition visitors, art critics, journalists, cultural operators, art lovers. Every exhibition lasts for about a month and can avail itself of a bilingual monographic catalogue. The multiannual experience of the subjects involved in the project shows that similar initiatives are important opportunities to learn about the cultural offer of one’s own city and surroundings. The directness and immediacy of the visual arts is comparable only to musical expression.
