The project's objective is the promotion of composting as an instrument for managing organic waste, the use of the compound in a set of applications with high added value and the consequent reduction in the amount of waste deposited in the landfill. The waste streams of the region will be studied and the compounds produced will be evaluated and optimized in relation to the content of humic substances and in terms of their chemical profile and biological activity. The optimized compounds will be implemented in a set of new applications. It is also expected that this activity will allow the increase in the amount of compound produced by the project partners.
