Since 2007, when Bulgaria entered EU as full member, the number of people travelling from south Bulgaria and north Greece has been increased together with the exchange of goods and services. In order to provide better health care services, a network among hospitals and local authorities at all levels has to be established. BEHEALTH project supports this bottom up approach by identifying population needs, establishing cooperation between regional and national authorities, creating a permanent, open for collaboration and joint development system in the health care area and implementing at the same time the very important EU Directive 7056 for cross-border health care.
