The Common Challenge of the Program is to increase the access to the Autism support services which is addressed by a joint initiative aimed at delivering a new Autism PL-LT Platform that will be a milestone in enhancing the quality and accessibility of the public services in the PL-LT border area. The project objective is to increase cross-border cooperation between institutions to develop more integrated and better quality the public services devoted to people with Autism and their families in Cooperation Programme area by knowledge and good practice sharing between Autism supporting organisations. The project will focus on: a) tangible investments in Autism support services, contributing to the development of a new Autism PL-LT platform with diagnostic service, schools supporting autistic children in PL-LT border area, therapy programs, family support service, library & info services; b) knowledge and good practice sharing between Autism support services organizations; c) training of Autism support teachers in CP area, and d) elaboration of a common guidelines for the education of children with autism. At the moment, there are no such services in Bialystok and Kaunas countries. The project final beneficiaries will include Autism support services organizations, people with autism and their families, teachers, therapists, students of pedagogy, mainly citizens of the PL-LT border area.
