The project aims at building up synergies between industries and research Institutes to satisfy the innovation demand of Italian and Croatian farmed fish food chains. Thanks to advanced environment-friendly/cost-effective farming protocols, healthier and tasteful fish products will increase competitiveness of SMEs on regional and international markets. Following the suggestion of the EUSAIR action plan for the aquaculture sector, to strengthen stakeholder involvement and to improve skills and product diversification, the project will involve aquaculture-targeted research groups, fish farms, fish processing industries, public associations of both countries. Their pre-established collaboration will allow creating concrete actions addressed to fish farmers and SMEs processing the fish.
