The current project was designed to create a cross border network for authentic traditional music performance through education and valorization of the best practice examples in this field, as a response to the actual changing context at the level of EU policies where preserving the cultural heritage becomes a competitive advantage for societies that recognize its valuable benefits. The project continues the efforts made so far within previous projects implemented by the joint partnership in the field of cultural heritage and focuses on existing challenges and opportunities in the cross-border area that are dealing with a problem related to the professional integration of authentic musical performers since the accurate manner of traditional music performance specific for Banat is fading and being replaced by the commercial way of performing so called ”traditional” music, strongly promoted by media or through other channels. By putting together common assets and common practices specific to communities that share history, past, beliefs and have the same ethnical minorities, the project’s activities set the necessary background needed in order to confer visibility of the essential best practice examples in the field of traditional music performance with the final goal of creating a cross-border educational and performance authentic networking that will connect the target groups in order to ensure continuity of the heritage knowledge transfer from one generation to another through professional integration of really talented and skilled people. Starting with a field identification of the current state and continuing with identifying in archives the references of traditional music performance in Banat cross-border area, the project will create, through its educational component, an educational campaign to underline the specific and the authentic of the musical traditional performance in Banat and will also develop powerful educational and didactic materials that preserve the specific and authentic.Through its strong partnership that includes powerfull institutions located on the two sides of the border, the project aims also to create a cooperation structure to facilitate the professional integration of traditional musical performers in cross border area (performance authentic networking - PAN). The activities were designed to follow a logical time sequence in order to reach the project’s final goal and to facilitate the professional integration of the target groups that are part of the cross border network for authentic traditional music. There is a strong correlation between problems, objectives, resources, activities, outputs and results in order to obtain the desired changes from the actual state to the desired state where cultural heritage is considered as a strong asset societies that helps them to share knowledge to the future generations and prevents them to forget who they really are.
