The project partnership is composed of two entities operating directly within the local administration system of the partner states, including: the Commune of Milanow and the Radvanichi Executive Committee (Belarus). The main project objective is the development of cross-border cooperation between the Commune of Milanów and the Municipality of Radvanichi and joint creation of a new tourist product. Project implementation will contribute to the increased access to an attractive cultural offer and services which have a direct impact on the quality of life of the residents in the area. The main target group will be pupils from Poland and Belarus participating in individual tasks of project - workshop participants (40 persons), as well as instructors and guardians of minors (9 persons). The young people indicated above will take part in five-day workshops (dance, theater, music), conducted by specialists in those fields. The activities will be supplemented with a cooking workshop module during which the participants will become familiar with the national dishes and will take part in their preparation. All the theatre, dance, musical and culinary activities will lead to performance of a traditional rite called „Polish-Belarusian Wedding” showing traditions, culture, customs, rites, folk costumes and cuisine of both countries. Ritual elements such as greeting newlyweds, blessing of parents, imposing a wedding cap will be presented in two versions: Polish and Belarusian. It will be staged according to the script written jointly by the participants of the workshops. The album on cultural traditions of the cross-border area will also be published as part of the project. It will include information and pictures of national dresses specific to a particular region, descriptions of dishes and the most interesting dances. The whole performance „Polish-Belarusian Wedding” will be recorded and and a promotional film will be prepared. The project will be fully accessible to disabled.
