The main objective of the project is to promote the collaboration between the local authorities of the GR-BG cross border area, the 4th Region Health Authority of Macedonia and Thrace and the Region Health Centre - Haskovo respectively, and to harmonize the practices in the electronic procurement processes that two authorities use. Furthermore, it aims at the establishment of effective and efficient electronic procurement processes for the aforementioned authorities. Specifically, the project will contribute in the achievement of the fundamental objectives as it contains the following actions: 1. The transfer of knowledge and know-how in the field of public electronic procurement for the health care sector in the cross-board area, 2. The development of an electronic procurement system for the Region Health Centre – Haskovo, 3. The training of the human resources that manages the procurement procedures, 4. The development of an integrated codification schema of the items for the health care sector that will be complied with international standards nomenclatures for medical equipment and reactive agents, 5. The development of an interoperability study in order to define how the electronic procurement systems will interact with other information systems of the organization and how it can be expanded in order to be operated by collaborative organizations.
