Lyhyt kuvaus konsulttiyrityksestäThis project stems from the need, voiced by the municipality of Salzano, to renovate the Romanin-Jacur spinning mill (which the municipality has owned since 1979) and the eighteenth-century villa that hosts the town hall, as well as the adjoining English garden. The building is a real architectural, environmental and historical jewel and is a place of interest as example of industrial archeology. The renovation activity intends to preserve this mine of history and tradition, an ideal place to undertake cultural activities which find their source of inspiration here and in the cultivation of mulberry trees, worm-raising and silk production. The first renovation intervention is the construction of a new entrance to the spinning mill. Part of the ground floor will be used for cultural and social activities. The future destination of use of the spinning mill will be a documentation centre, that will collect the largest possible quantity of books, documents, papers, maps, photos, videos and anything related to the history of the Romanin-Jacur spinning mill and its connection with the territory. Special attention has been paid to the production of silk, starting from the cultivation of mulberry trees, worm-raising, spinning and marketing of silk.
