This project aims to address the core sustainability issues behind the current and future North West European economic and environmental challenges. by specifically focussing on key economical sectors. such as the food sector (excluding agriculture). construction and renovation building sector and also tourism for the segments based on food and building/renovation such as hotels. More specifically. the actions undertaken during this project intend to generate technological and managerial eco-innovation in order to put forward sustainability as an opportunity (as opposed to being a costly constraint) not only for individual businesses but also for business networks. Such innovations do not stand alone. They are part of a strategy which maximizes eco-efficiency gains while developing these key innovations in line with a sustainable vision. This will create and secure jobs. promote and strengthen intra AND inter sector collaboration at both the regional and transnational levels. Overall. the proposed approach aims to improve the resilience of NWE economy in view of the context of the current global environmental and economic crisis. The main aim of external communication is to make the project known and convince the target audience that our strategic approach to long and short term sustainability is relevant in these times of economic unpredictability.
