The agricultural sector has voiced the need to differentiate the sources of income by increasing the number of jobs, improving quality and the supply capacity as well as the marketing of agricultural produce, making the producer-consumer chain as short as possible, and favouring the direct relationship with the final consumer. This project aims at setting up a cross-border network of firms, which adopt a quality protocol in the supply and the direct sale of agricultural produce, obtained with low environmental impact techniques, in order to improve the marketing and the penetration even in those markets that are not part of the programme area. This group of firms will therefore be more easily recognizable to final consumers, through an effective and targeted multimedial communication. Moreover, the project aims at promoting new techniques of corporate management, in direct sales carried out within a cross-border network of farms which can ensure a synergic action, even from the logistic point of view. The initiative intends to professionally qualify and raise the awareness of farmers, with regard to the potential cross-border network based on the quality improvement, health and safety of the products and on a sustainable management; this will result in innovative processes and common services for the firms of the primary sector.
