To promote the historical heritage and develop a valuable tourist experience, four sites joined forces to create “the Roman road”. This tourist route connects the Velzeke, Blicquy-Aubechies, Pommeroeul-Ath and Bavay sites. It is 85 km long (2 days on foot) - 15 km in Flanders, 63 km in Wallonia and 7 km in France - and provides a comprehensive experience to visitors. Exploring these unique historic sites is like taking a trip into the past.
