Low accessibility and attractiveness of common cultural heritage objects situated in historically interrelated regions of Rokiškis (Lithuania) and Postavy (Belarus), as well as insufficient employment of their potential for the tourism development has a negative impact over on the sustainable development of the regions. Combination of the regions’ competitive resources in the fields of tourism and recreation could create a synergy of joint tourism products and promotion activities.The project activities aim to intensify intercultural dialogue and increase the tourist tourism attractiveness and economic competitiveness of the cross-border region by development of closer cultural connections and creation of a competitive, heritage-based tourism cluster in Rokiškis and Postavy regions.
