The project aims to create close cooperation between the partners in the education of environmental hydraulics and water resources (students and teachers). Partners propose to establish common environmental-hydraulics field training reach on the Danube River in the border area between Hungary ( Mohacs) and Serbia (Bezdan), to introduce multidisciplinary team-work approach, through latest advancements in field data collection techniques of water quality (sediment data, data on temperature, dissolved oxygen, and selected chemical-biological constituents, 1-, 2-, and 3-D mathematical modeling techniques for flow and transport process in natural waters). Improved curricula in the area of environmental hydraulics and water resources in both institutions, hands-in experience in latest techniques of data collection and mathematical modeling, established 1-, 2-, and 3-D models for the reach, and comprehensive database for models’ calibration and verification. The Danube River reach will be kept as continuous common training and research center for both EJF and GFS teachers and students.
