Already in its third generation, the present project continues, improves and extends the cross-border disaster management co-operation that has been started in its predecessors. Extending the information exchange application allows for its use in the whole border region, while additional data will be integrated into the GIS system. This way the professional background of rescue team interventions is strengthened, enabling the raising of public awareness of natural disasters. The theoretical activities of the new project are to be supported by many practical ones like joint exercises, trainings and exchange programmes.
