This project aims at relaunching food and wine events in the territory next to the Italian and Slovenian borders, in particular in the area of Cividale del Friuli and Brda. A significant promotional action in four languages (Italian, Slovene, English and German) will issue common material, both on paper (including the bridleways and cycling routes) and on multimedial supports; the main specialized magazines will also advertise the project. Tourist marketing will be relaunched especially on the Italian and Slovenian reference markets, but also on the new tourist markets that are potentially interesting like Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, France and the Central European countries. The territorial promotion will be developed with the specific purpose of increasing the number of tourists and improving the use of the territory. Other important initiatives include the participation in the main international tourism fairs. Workshops will be held for specialized journalists, with visits to the cellars of winemaking companies, tasting of typical products through a tour of farmhouses, night stay and participation in the main cultural activities and events in the area. Finally meetings will be organized in Austrian tourist centres (Graz, Salzburg, Vienna, Klagenfurt) with the projection of the CD-Rom about the cross-border area of Cividale del Friuli and Brda, tasting of typical local products, supply and presentation of integrated tourist packages. Moreover, school tourism will be promoted through the organization of guided tours, reserved to the schools of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Carinthia and Slovenia and devoted to the history of the two world wars.
