The aim of the project is to build a cross-border connecting road between Dombegyház and Variasu Mic (the length of the road built on the Hungarian side is 8,2 Km and the length of road rehabilitation on the Romanian side is 11,246 Km). Building the cross-border connection road ensures the strengthening of the economic contacts and the regional activities and enables access to the economic centres from the area. Among others, the project improves mobility, access to cross-border services while developing cross border co-operation, as well as human and economic relations. A new cross-border road generates a significant cross-border impact. Target groups of the project are identified from both sides of the border, and mainly consist of the inhabitants of Arad Békés counties.
