Brief description of the consultancy firmTraffic problems are spreading and in growth: Freight transport and distribution are strongly influencing and increasing congestion, pollution and noise within the cities, thus reducing the quality of life; the phenomenon is widely diffused and -generally speaking - quite common in urban areas all along the CADSES space. Expecially on the very short distances, the competition between transport modes, models and technologies are distorted, as transport users and operators face with prices that do not reflect the full social and environmental cost of transport. Therefore, to come to city logistics providing the best economical, social and environmental performances, public administrations have to define and follow adequate processes for problem investigation and solution design and implementation. This policy processes shall consider simultaneously several topics, with regard to supply chain management, urban zoning, traffic management, transit points, low emission vehicles.
