AQUA-FIL aims to provide regional authorities with an opportunity to exchange and transfer experiences on the implementation of the European Water Framework Directive and other national laws. In doing so, they will create an integrated, sustainable and participative approach to river management. Through INTERREG IIIC, this operation is able to enlarge the network previously created under the Ecos-Ouverture programme and to increase interregional cooperation in order to improve regional and local politics on integrated river management.
