The European Commission asked the national and regional authorities to prepare Smart Specialization Strategies (RIS3), which would allow greater efficiency in the use of the Structural Funds. Starting from this context, Galicia and the Northern Region of Portugal have joined forces to jointly design a Transboundary Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3T), taking advantage of Euroregion synergies and optimizing public resources.
