The present study aims at proposing a pilot project to identify the parameters and processes feasible for a monitoring activity on the sea environment. The project consists of an interdisciplinary research aiming at assessing the alterations induced by different kinds of anthropic impact on the processes and the bio-geochemical characteristics in the surface sea sediments which are affected and, in their turn, can affect the chemism of the water column in the Adriatic ecosystem.
