The main activity in the project is the elaboration of the documentation needed for the construction of sewer systems and waste-water treatment plants in several smaller towns in the border area (Goričan, Őrtilos and Szentmihályhegy). By creating the prerequisites for waste-water canalizing and treatment before emission into the environment, the project will in the long-term contribute to the protection of underground and surface sources of drinking water and improvement of quality of life and protection of health, as well as preservation of wildlife, biodiversity and the whole ecosystem, followed by economic development, tourism development, economic and social cohesion.
