The project aims to promote “accessibility” in the public sector and especially in local and peripheral authorities. It will create as well the appropriate tools for anyone who wants to provide accessible services for disabled people. Overall, the aims of the project are to protect disabled people and eliminate social discrimination and rehabilitation of those people. Among the activities are drafting of pilot studies on accessibility of municipalities in the cross border region. For the authorities that want to become accessible for blind people the accessibility guide will provide precise instructions. Thematic workshops and conferences will take place in both countries. All the deliverables will be made in accessible formats so as to serve as information source for all people. The results of the projects will affect the lives of disabled people. The promotion of accessibility will improve their everyday and their health by fighting the isolation of those people.
