The objective of the project is the sustainable management of the natural banks of chirla (Chamelea gallina) and coquina (Donax trunculus) in the Gulf of Cádiz. For this purpose, the distribution and conservation of their habitats will be studied and improved, and mitigation measures for negative impacts will be established. In this sense, this project represents an excellent opportunity in the progress and consolidation of monitoring, management and research programs by both countries through cross-border collaboration given the territorial continuity of these natural resources.
