SISTRIE - Systemes Regionaux d'Information Statistique SISTRIE
Basic information
-
Brief description of the consultancy firmThe partners do not have systems allowing them to manage all the data produced within their territories. When development policies are drawn up by the authorities, the process is slow because information is not managed in an integrated fashion. The EU will not be able to advance unless its citizens perceive that the mechanisms for solidarity work and that we are heading towards convergence. There is not only a need for better, more complete statistics but also data must reach citizens with greater ease. Overall objective / Objectif général SISTRIE aims to improve statistical processes in EU regions in order to improve the efficiency of EU regional policies. Expected results / Résultats attendus The member regions, which have already developed their own systems for statistical information by using multi-dimensional technology, bring together their data base concepts. The project will allow the production of a single concept for all the partners. The regions will be able to re-use this model in order to partially or totally adapt their systems. This should lead to: • Sharing of information flows among European regions. • Improved statistical processes for EU regions to enhance the effectiveness of EU regional policies. • The inclusion of all types of information of an economic, demographic, social and geographical nature based on a new model for organising and analysing regional statistical information.
