BRAMA
Botanicals Risk Assessment training in the Mediterranean Area
Basic information
-
Brief description of the consultancy firmBotanicals and botanical preparations, thanks to their health benefits, are proving to be one of the economically and scientifically most promising sectors of the bioeconomy. The Mediterranean area can provide the natural resources (indigenous species, growing conditions) and business environment for further development in this field. However, due to a fierce international competition, the ever increasing demand of consumers for natural products needs to be supported by quality control and adequate risk assessment of botanicals and botanical preparations as well as scientific and technical excellence. To this end, BRAMA will focus on the training and professionalisation of a group of experts (researchers, inspectors and technicians) in the field of safety evaluation and risk assessment of botanicals.
