The aim of the project was to attract as many people as possible from the Latvian-Lithuanian border region and encourage intercultural dialogue and promote cooperation in the region. Pakruojis District Municipality developed a book about Ziemgala region’s nature, traditions, people and heritage as one of project activities. At the same time Siauliai Region Development Agency compiled the recipe book on culinary heritage of Latvia-Lithuania border region. Latvian and Lithuanian eating habits, traditions and table etiquette, recipes of everyday meals and festive meal with cooking instructions and pictures were provided in the book. The website of the project www.ziemgalostradicijos.lt was set up. Everyone can find information about project, partner institutions and communities, project activities and events there. Local Municipalities of Rundale, Bauska, Vecumnieki and Iecava have obtained national music instruments and national costumes in scope of project. They have also received technical equipment and sound technologies for open sky or deep-hall video projections and shows.
