This project will exploit recent ICT advances in order to create innovative tools and methodologies facilitate the understanding, study and promotion of common Religious Cultural Heritage. By doing so, the project aims to bring closer the local communities, while stimulating the joint promotion of the regions. To facilitate this, the project will: (a) involve research for the recording and documentation of religious heritage monuments ; (b) design and develop ICT tools to deploy a range of applications with a multiplying effect for the study, promotion & educational use of the religious cultural heritage; (c) will engage local stakeholders by raising publicity for the project results. The tools will be developed to support multi-disciplinary teams of interested parties, from local populations, to educational institutions, churches and dioceses, including scholars and other interested users, in a pursuit to process & disseminate the richness of this common shared heritage.
