This project aims to create appropriate tools which will point out the real state of the local economies and will also enable both employeed and unemployed people to get a second chance, acquiring skills adapted to modern economic times. In this sense 192 trainees in total from Greece and Bulgaria will undergo training on subjects with potential employment opportunities. The expected results of this project are mainly to improve the partners’ ability to develop policies in the region, creating conditions that will lead to employment growth in the cross border region. The activities include the organization of five training courses on management of urban and suburban areas for 90 people, as well as three training courses on environmental management for 42 people coming from the participating Greek municipalities. Moreover, 30 people will be trained in management of urban and suburban areas from the participating Bulgarian municipalities, and 30 more in environmental management.
