Brief description of the consultancy firmThe project assumes the creation of a unique product of sightseeing, cultural and educational tourism in the form of the Living Archaeology Route. The route will allow the visitors to see the most valuable archaeological finds being the evidences of cultural identity. Archaeological monuments will be presented in the context of natural landscape as well as in the context of later, historical cultural heritage. The unique character of the project is based on adding to the created tourist trail sustainable and professional educational and cognitive elements: the observation of crops, animals, farming methods and life in the past centuries. The partners will complete, among other things, a coherent investment programme (extension of a former joint project), enabling the presentation of archaeological traces of the common history of the borderland. As part of the project, the following elements are planned on the Polish and Slovak side: – marking the route and its attractions; – reconstructing historical defense buildings, residential buildings, agricultural buildings, craftmen’s workshops, agricultural and breeding sectors to show the most important aspects of life and economy in the past and in a way to show the cultural continuity and the common identity of the areas located on both sides of the border; experimental archaeology techniques will be used; – the elements of tourist infrastructure facilitating access to attractions on the route will be built; – modern IT tools will be implemented as a support for tourists using the route; – promotional, educational actions as well as “events on the route” (historical re-enactments) will be planned and organised. The cultural character of the project, the presentation of the common history and civilisational development of the Carpathian region will contribute to the effective use of cultural heritage resources to achieve social and economic goals. The Project will be collaborative in nature (exchange of knowledge, experiences and facilities, development of competences).
