In the last three years, the Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol has developed into a common holiday destination for the towns of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Grainau and the TVB Tiroler Zugspitz Arena as part of an Interreg IV A project on a brand-building process. The destination has a total of 3,340,144 overnight stays in 2014. Already in the autumn of 2014, the partners decided to jointly finance a budget of € 934,000 for the next three years in order to be able to financially support ongoing measures and other necessary developments. The focal points of the joint strategy development are car-free mobility, balancing seasonal fluctuations, and the joint presence on the global market with 3.3 million overnight stays and the subsequent joint sales. With a common guest card, in which the currently existing offers are brought together, supplemented by the cross-border mobility, the visibility of the destination is to be further developed inside and outside.
