The overall purpose of the project is to develop more knowledge and understanding of how the integration work is progressing in the region. In this project the focus is on the entire region. How can the region as a whole benefit from its economic, social and cultural diversity. Through the project it is important to develop strategic solutions to promote a balanced and sustainable development and growth in the whole region, which at the same time takes the environmental aspects into consideration. The cooperation between the central and more remote areas must be strengthened in order to reach this.
