This project aims to increase the levels of efficiency in the use of forest resources, contributing to the development of the bioeconomy and the circular economy in the cross-border space Galicia-North of Portugal. Although forest resources are one of the region's natural resources, their use is far from their potential. The needs of the sector are related to the optimization of processes along the value chain, and therefore the project will work on the adoption of new processes that promote the production of renewable energy.
